About Ana
I work on complex systems — across research, regeneration, housing, and enterprise — where ideas only matter if they hold under real-world pressure.
My background spans academic research, government and university training, social enterprise, emergency housing provision, and property-based infrastructure. Across these domains, my work focuses on designing structures — academic, economic, and ecological — that enable long-term stability rather than short-term fixes.
I began my career in academia, completing a PhD and publishing extensively on social learning, knowledge exchange, ecosystem governance, and participation in conservation. My research has been used internationally and has informed policy, practice, and training across governments, research councils, universities, and NGOs.
Alongside research, I have founded and led multiple ventures translating theory into practice. These include Seedball, a nationally distributed wildflower social enterprise; Project Maya, a permaculture-based model for community-rooted nature reserves; Fast Track Impact, which has trained institutions to turn research into impact; and property and housing businesses delivering over 200 projects, including emergency housing provision at scale.
Across all of this work, the through-line is systems design: building financial, organisational, and ecological structures that serve people, land, and communities over time.
This is not work about optimisation or growth for its own sake. It is about creating systems that remain ethical, resilient, and functional as they scale — and that continue to work when conditions change.
If you are working on something that matters — a research programme, an institution, a regenerative project, or a purpose-driven enterprise — and you are interested in building structures that last, you are very welcome here.
